A word of warning
This site is not costing me a dime, so there might be some pop-up advertisements, and the settings on my computer are probably different from others, so my site might look different on your screen that it does on my screen, but I will be getting a new computer soon, and I will try to redo everything so that it is more compatible with other computers and will be easier to view. I hope the information I provide is worth the inconvenience. Also, the language and spelling might be bad in the early stages of developemetn.(that one is intentional) |
My mission:
There is plenty of information out there about poison frogs, but I would like to see more pages about personal experiences. I think general information is great and useful, and idealized phots are nice, but personal information is also very helpful, and personal photos help to show the variation in the species and examples of what is on the market. So, I hope to provide as much personal information and as many personal photos as I can cram onto this site.
Though the main focus will be toward providing the novice keeper with my personal info, I will also include some general info. If you already know a lot about poison frogs, you might take a look through to see if my information is accurate, or to give advice and suggestions. Thanks for checking out my site. Be sure to email me and tell me what you think of it. |
My Site
I started this site in April 2002. All of the frogs pictured are frogs that were owned by me and an ex. We bought all our frogs from the reptile shows in Columbus, Ohio. The format will change SLOWLY over time as new pages are added and old ones are changed(and as i find time). I will put up new information about frogs as I acquire it, with an emphasis on personal experiences. I will add as many photos as I can so that you can see what my frogs look like. I will do my best to make my site help others as much as possible.
Be sure to check out all the pages on my site. It is not organized in a particularly efficient way. This is due to the templates for the site. But, take a look at all the pages; you might find what you are looking for.

Dart Frogs
I love poison frogs. My favorite animals are the frogs belonging to the genus Dendrobates. These are the most interesting animals on earth. They are diurnal, which means they are active during daylight. They are also very active animals, which makes them particularly enjoyable to observe. My Dendrobates always make me smile and sometimes make me laugh with their antics. I wish that everyone could learn about these frogs. They are truly magnificent animals, and their protection is important.
Genus Mantella
I also love frogs of the genus Mantella. Mantellas are fom Madagascar, and are very similar to dart frogs. They have similar behaviors and morphology. However, Mantellas come from a completely different region than dart frogs. The habitat of Mantellas is across the world from that of dart frogs. But they can be just as rewarding as darts. |

My Female Golden Mantella
TSK, TSK, TSK, goldens. You should have just made some babies. Then I wouldn't have had to disown you.
